of Everything
A building is only as solid as the concrete it's built on. Foundation failures are expensive, disruptive, and preventable. Tuscaloosa Concrete Company brings the experience and discipline that structural concrete demands.
We've poured foundations for homes, retail centers, industrial facilities, and institutional buildings across West Alabama. We read and follow structural drawings, we work with your engineers, and we don't take shortcuts — because on a foundation, there's no second chance.
- Work directly from structural engineer drawings
- Coordinate pre-pour inspections with local AHJ
- ACI-certified finishers for structural work
- Concrete testing (slump, air, cylinders) on every pour
- Photo documentation throughout
- Full insurance & bonding documentation available
What We Build

Slab-on-Grade Foundations
The most common foundation type in West Alabama. We install vapor barriers, place post-tension cables or rebar, and pour monolithic slabs or turn-down slabs per engineering specifications.

Spread Footings & Grade Beams
Continuous and isolated footings for load-bearing walls and columns. We follow structural drawings precisely and use forms rated for the volume and pressure of the pour.

Stem Walls & Crawl Space
Concrete stem walls for raised-floor construction, crawl space foundations, and block foundations with concrete cap beams. Correctly sized for local frost and soil conditions.

Piers & Deep Foundations
Drilled concrete piers and caissons where soil conditions require deeper bearing capacity. We coordinate with geotechnical reports and structural engineers.

Retaining Walls
Cast-in-place concrete retaining walls with proper drainage, waterproofing, and engineering. We handle both residential landscape walls and large commercial retaining structures.

Concrete Tilt-Wall Panels
We work with erection contractors on tilt-wall panel pours — edge forms, embed placement, bond breaker, and panel concrete to ensure flat, true panels ready for tilt.
From Plans to Pour
Plan Review
We review structural drawings, geotech reports, and local codes before pricing. We catch discrepancies before they become field problems.
Excavation Coordination
We coordinate with your excavation contractor to ensure proper bearing depth, compaction testing, and footing dimensions.
Form & Reinforce
Forms are set to grade and plumb. Rebar or PT cables placed per structural drawings. Embeds and sleeves installed before pour.
Inspect & Pour
We coordinate with inspectors for required pre-pour inspections, then pour, consolidate, and finish to spec.
